Susan Dougherty • Principal
​
Susan Dougherty, Founder and Principal of SDudio Inc, has spent the last three decades designing environments for a diverse and notable array of New York clients. Prior to establishing SDudio, Susan was one of the founding Partners of Suben Dougherty Architecture DPC. and served as the Partner in charge of Design.
​
Building on three decades of real life experience and, a proven track record for successful design solutions, Susan has established SDudio and assembled a talented team of professionals who craft work environments as distinctively unique as the clients we serve. Susan honed her creative passions, and learned the value of marrying creativity with the pragmatic side of the profession, while still a student at Cornell University. Today, Susan emphasizes the need for the team at SDudio to apply creative passion in equal measure with extreme client service to deliver successful projects and nurture long term client relationships.

Susan enjoys spending as much R&R time as possible with husband Alexander, son Andreas and her Golden Doodle, Kookla, out at their country home in Bucks County, PA.

Theodora Dimitropoulos • Senior Project Architect
​
Theodora was born with a true love of design and an innate ability to problem solve. Staying true to her early passions, Theodora attended the University of Huddersfield, UK and received her Bachelor and Master's Degree in Art, Design and Architecture where her studies focused on sustainability and design-built.
​
Before joining SDudio, Theodora worked for residential and landscape firms in Greece and in New York, providing her with practical experience in a variety of project types and scales.
​
As SDudio's Senior Project Architect, Theodora manages the construction documentation process for all projects in the office, providing quality control oversight and mentorship to new staff.
​
Outside of work, Theodora loves exploring beautiful new places, staying active, and cherishing moments with her family.

Lisa Detert • COO
​
Lisa is so much more than just SDudio's COO . . . she fulfills the many roles and wears the many hats that are required to keep the boutique firm at the top of its game.
​
Lisa began working with Susan when Susan was a partner at SubenDougherty Architecture DPC in 2013. The has over 25 years of experience managing all aspects of finance and operations for small businesses. Throughout the years, she has primarily worked for design firms in the graphic, print and architecture industries. Lisa's preference has always been to work and collaborate with creative people.

Among the many hats, Lisa has recently been serving as SDudio's in-house IT guru; never shying away from a challenge.
​
Outside the office, Lisa enjoys classical choral singing, birdwatching, attending New York Comic Con, and serving as a hospital chaplain. In 2021 she completed an MA in Pastoral Care from Fordham University.
